I am not optimistic about this one. It will probably be a blowout. But I thought the same thing about the Chiefs going to Buffalo and their win was by only 10 points.

What was that for? Onside kicks are for catching up in the last two minutes, not the first quarter.

Well it worked either way, sadly they had an offside penalty and decided to kick it deep afterwards.

You illustrated why there are times when Onside kicks are called in the 1st QTR.     The opposition is often not prepared for it.     For a team like the Bucs,   what do they have to lose in attempting an Onside kick early in the game!

 

Arguably,   the most impactful Onside kick in NFL history was the Saints successful Onside kick at the start of the 3rd QTR against the Colts in the 2009 season Super Bowl.     Sean Payton displayed tremendous guts.    It paid off for Saints,   as that helped change the complexion of the Super Bowl game.

Update for those who can't watch

 

7-0 Bucs in lead and have the ball in Seahawk territory. 3 mins left in the 2nd and Bucs get the ball first in 2nd half

 

Bucs just picked up a nice first down.. if they score before the half they could have a huge advantage going into the 3rd
