Alabama, Oregon, Florida State Win Out, Who Goes To Title Game?
|
Just a little hypothetical. If all three win out, I think all three are deserving. Sure, a playoff would be optimal, but not happening this year.
Who goes to the title game?

Well let's be honest, everyone knows Alabama is going to the title.
As for the other two, that's more interesting. Who would I like to see? Oregon. Their style of play and Alabama's are so disparate, it would be fun to watch them clash on such a big stage. Who do I think I'll see? FSU. They play a harder schedule, are getting tons of hype cause of their QB, and are based in the east (I personally think eastern teams are more likely to be selected than western ones, I don't know why).

2015 NFL Draft - Analyzing Targets www.jungle.jaguars.com/index.php?/topic/7892-2015-nfl-draft-analyzing-targets/
I think Alabama and Florida State will, mostly due to Strength of Schedule once the season is all done. Oregon's PAC-whatever title isn't going to carry the same weight as Florida State having carved up Clemson, having beaten Florida, having beaten Miami, and then won the ACC title game.
As for Alabama, you win the SEC Title game, you go to the BCS Title game. It's just how it is.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! Quote:I think Alabama and Florida State will, mostly due to Strength of Schedule once the season is all done. ^^ I think this is true.
Sucks having the thought that Oregon should have just done what they had to against Auburn some years ago since they are always being skipped by someone. It should be Alabama vs Oregon, but FSU is looking like an almost guarantee, that is until UF beats them and ruins the party.

It will be FSU/ Alabama...The Gators can barely score 17 points against a mid-level DIV.III team. You're going to get blown out in the swamp, FSU will treat you to a Clemson style beatdown this year. We doing it BIG....Florida State bringing that SWAG back in 2013!!!!

I'd have to think Oregon would jump FSU. The only ranked team left on FSU's schedule is Miami. Florida is bringing down our SOS, so that really won't be a quality win anymore. Oregon still has UCLA, Stanford, and Oregon State.
I will be pulling hard for Stanford next Thursday night. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
If oregon & bama win out they are in. One of them will have to lose a game for the Seminoles to make it.
Kinda baffled by all the FSU choices. If all three win out, there's no way FSU makes it since the ACC is mostly garbage while the SEC and PAC-12 are the two best conferences in the nation.

PAC-12 one of the best conferences in the nation? Really? Oregon is the only team that really impresses. Stanford lost to Utah, UCLA lost to Stanford, and Washington is, well, Washington. There are no great teams in the PAC-12 for Oregon to pad their resume with. FSU beat Clemson (a top 5 team) they'll have beat Miami (who will probably be a top 5 team), and depending on how the Coastal division of the ACC goes, they may beat them twice. The ACC is hardly a power house, but the teams at the top are better teams than the top teams of the PAC-12. And FSU is beating top teams in the ACC with ease. That's the main difference, and that's why they'll be playing in the National Championship against Alabama. Oregon's SOS has gone down the toilet with Stanford and UCLA losing games they shouldn't have and Washington falling off.
10 years ago we had Bob Hope, Johnny Cash, and Steve Jobs..... Please don't die, Kevin Bacon.
Oregon/Stanford/UCLA/Oregon State/Washington is a far stronger line-up than FSU/VT/Clemson/Miami. I never called the PAC-12 teams will play "great", but they are far better than what FSU will pad it's record with. Clemson struggled with two garbage teams in NC State and Boston College before getting humbled by FSU(and will probably lose to South Carolina again at the end of the season), VT got smacked around by the only good team they faced this year, Miami barely got by a Florida team that can't score to save it's life and almost got beat by a bad UNC team.
So sorry, don't see where the ACC has any sort of advantage when compared to the PAC-12. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Yet they smacked a full-strength Georgia in the mouth. Maybe the SEC isn't as strong as you'd like to believe it is, this year. For what it's worth, it has got to be Alabama and Oregon. I've been waiting for that match-up for three years. However, sitting here and discrediting FSU is moronic. FSU has done nothing but take care of business. They are 3rd in the country if points for and 3rd in the country in points against. Does an undefeated Ohio St. play in the NC game over an Alabama or Oregon team that loses it's conference title game?

Both polls think Stanford is better than Clemson.
Sounds like FSU will get jumped by Oregon if they both win out.
No way Bama gets jumped by anyone. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. Draft philosophy is all fluff.

It was a shoot-out and Georgia's defense was bad even before the injuries happened. Nice strawman, though. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
You guys are all forgetting something. If Ohio State wins out, which I fully expect after watching them score 9 touchdowns against a Big Ten team that won four games, shouldn't they also deserve to be in the national championship game?
If a team's strength of schedule is one factor in the BCS forumula, I can see why Alabama and Oregon are the favorites. However, I think if the Buckeyes were eligible last year, they would have been in the national championship game because Alabama had a loss. So I hope Alabama, Oregon, or FSU will lose at least once becaise it seems voters and computers don't want to put a Big Ten team in the BCS title game.
Quote:Sounds like FSU will get jumped by Oregon if they both win out. Actually there is a way. Last year, Alabama went to the national championship game with one loss, so they are definitely beatable. It just takes the right team to do it.
I think Oregon would beat FSU in a close game, but would still get whooped by Alabama.
