Who in the heck is Roy Miller? Is there a more fitting clip for the Jaguars in the history of cinema than this?

Acquiring players that got cut by other winless team is usually not the recipe for success.

Miller's snap count is way down the past two weeks. (Deadrick and Jones rotating in more on run packages)
He's shown up on a small handful of passing downs and made a few tackles at the LOS, but mostly gets moved off his spot too often on running downs. Quote:Acquiring players that got cut by other winless team is usually not the recipe for success. He actually played well last year and wasnt cut. Nice try though. Quote:Acquiring players that got cut by other winless team is usually not the recipe for success. The Bucs weren't winless, and Miller wasn't cut. Go ahead and lump me into the group that thought he was actually going to be an improvement on the Knighton/Mosely clusterfudge. Oops, oh well.
Yeah, he's been pretty disappointing. And of all the FA signings, he was the most expensive one.

The good news for the Jaguars under the circumstance of Roy Miller not meeting expectations is only $ 325,000 will be lost under the 2014 salary cap, if the Jaguars elect to release him next off-season. While in many cases that's a significant amount of cap space, the Jaguars are in great shape cap wise entering the next off-season: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/jacksonville-...oy-miller/
He's just not very good. He's kind of like an aging Henderson that I remember.
Balls is snapped, get vertical with no push, do nothing, rinse and repeat.
Gene's Myth
Last year he was one of the best DTs in the league vs. the run. He just hasn't been able to put it on the field for Jax.

Yea I've not seen him do anything. Does he even have any tackles? Someone should google that.

Quote:He's playing on a bum knee. I think he'll do better next year. Tell that knee to get a job, you bum!

Quote:He actually played well last year and wasnt cut. Nice try though. He did not get resigned by the team that is currently winless. Does that make you feel better. THE DUDE HAS TENDONITIS IN THE KNEE -- THAT DOES NOT GO AWAY !!! 300 POUND LINEMAN AND A BAD KNEE IS NOT THE RECIPE FOR SUCCESS. http://www.bigcatcountry.com/2013/6/17/4...tendonitis We show less advertisements to registered users. Talking as somebody who has had tendinitis in my left knee, yes it does go away, but only with an extended period of complete rest. Now it is just about managing the pain Quote:He did not get resigned by the team that is currently winless. Stating facts instead of making crap up does make me feel better. He played well last year, with knee issues, and was signed to a short contract. Its impossible to tell when the knee issues will start to effect his play. At the time it was a good signing that made sense, but his play has not been up to par. It will cost little to nothing to release him after this year if need be. Its not like we let a good player go and signed him instead. Quote:Last year he was one of the best DTs in the league vs. the run. He just hasn't been able to put it on the field for Jax. That's funny right there |
