Quote:Why do you guys even bother arguing with the Teddy nut huggers? He's the greatest QB prospect ever.

Not as big of a prospect as Luck, but very close. The way he reads the defense and changes the plays at the LOS is pure harmony.

pure harmony, unless you are facing powerhouses UCF, Syracuse, or UCONN.

Your vision clearly is 50/50 if you see him as. a Josh Freeman 2.0, REALLY???? You've lost all credibility with a statement so dumb. Your football knowledge and AGENDA should be questioned, Here's a FRESHMAN QB that throws for over 400 yards, he leads his team to the most points scored in DEATH VALLEY by an opponent ever, against the # 3 ranked team in the country.

LoL----Please for the rest of the season, make no other comparisons.
We doing it BIG....Florida State bringing that SWAG back in 2013!!!!

lol, exactly.

No point in tanking year after year after year. Then, if this does happen, this time next year there will be some RS Freshman or Sophomore that is lighting it up, and the same clowns on this board will be saying "pass on Winston, take [insert a less significant player] and tank next season! 2016 BABY!

Just take Bridgewater this year and build around him.

By 2020 we'll have our franchise QB in current High School Freshman Billy Meers. The kid's got a great arm, and he may only be facing scrub teams in high school, but he's going to be something special. Just wait until he gets to college, and then finally declares for the Draft. Do nothing for years for Billy Meers!

Quote:
Measuring 6-foot-4, 228 pounds with exceptional arm talent, Winston is the dynamic athlete with polished pocket passing skills NFL offensive coordinators have coveted for years at the position. As a top baseball prospect and current pitcher/right fielder on Florida State's nationally ranked squad, Winston is an A-plus arm talent capable of making every throw in the book with zip and velocity. He can rifle balls into tight windows with superb pace, yet also shows exceptional touch, accuracy and ball placement on intermediate and deep throws. Winston's ability to alter the tempo and trajectory on his passes is uncommon for a player with little major-college experience.

From an athletic standpoint, Winston displays the kind of movement, agility and quickness that allows him to make plays outside of the pocket as an effective runner/thrower on the edge. Although Winston certainly prefers to make plays with his arm, the fact that he is capable of extending plays with his feet makes him a nightmare to defend in coverage. Defensive coordinators are fearful of sending extra defenders on blitzes because he is so elusive in the pocket, yet allowing him to sit back in the pocket against static coverage leads to a string of completions that produces first downs and points for an explosive Seminoles offense.

Yeah...Winston wound up being a very poor baseball player...just FYI.

winston doesn't have the pocket presence of Teddy...in fact I'd say no one in college does. He is lightyears ahead of everyone.

Jameis is better as a freshman than Teddy was. However, Teddy possesses a trait not many QBs have. And that is a mind for the game. His playcalling abilities at the line and his ability to read the defense is on the Peyton Manning level. He is that smart. His great pocket presence, arm strength, and mind will lead him to a great career in the NFL wherever he goes.

Imagine if this kid went to an SEC school?
