Aaron Murray? Nah.

Looks average as the day is long. Not sure what some people see in him to believe he will be an NFL franchise quarterback.

I think he'll be a Kyle Orton type. Maybe a part time starter for a mediocre team or a solid backup for someone.

To be fair, his team was absolutely riddled with injuries. That being said, he is not one of the top 5 QBs in the class. He still would have went in the 1st round last year, IMO, though.

I'd still take a chance on him in the 4th..

So would i but there was alot of talk in Jax this week about him being a potential first rounder. It is pretty laughable.

This is the type of stuff we have to deal with regarding the Jax/SEC media:

<p class="">Question for Jags fans: If you knew right now Jags were going to trade back and take Murray mid-round, would you be happy? Elated? Neither?

If by taking a chance on him in the 4th you mean taking Teddy in the first and grooming him as a backup then maybe.

Two things:

1. The boy doesn't play defense.  UGA's defense was awful.

2.  He's playing with freshmen at the skill positions on offense.  He still did what he was supposed to do.

After seeing

Teddy play on Thursday night, I'm not sure why so many are wetting themselves over him.

There is no Andrew Luck in this draft.  And I'm not sure Teddy is Russell Wilson or RG3.

55% completion and 2 picks is a poor day, sorry.

No chance in hell he would get drafted in round 1 last year.

You think Geno was worth the #2 overall, but don't think Murray could have been looked at as a late 1st rounder? Ok.

What does one have to do with the other? It was a weak QB class. Assuming Murray went through the draft advisory board, I would guess he got a mid-round grade. I don't believe he is going to go much higher than that this year. If guys like Hundley and Mariota come out, Murray may not even be one of the top 5 QB's.

Jesus man.  Let it go.  Who cares?  Let me ask you something.  Where did you think EJ Manuel was going to get drafted last year?

Which is why he would have been over-drafted.

I figured Manuel would be overdrafted because he was the 2nd best QB in a weak class. Murray would have been been in the Geno/Manuel territory and would have been overdrafted due to a weak class. I don't see what point you were trying to make.

Based on what? Almost every quarterback was drafted well after they were expected to go.

Think about it. It was a weak QB class and Murray decided to pass on the draft. That should tell you something about what he was hearing from the NFL.

In fact, you basically made my point. Manuel was over drafted because of weak class, much like Murray would have been.
