You know your head coach sucks when...

Let's have some fun. I'll start.

1. People paid to announce football games on TV have better football acumen than you and explain how re-punting after a penalty is not a smart idea because the coverage team is gassed, which of course leads to a huge return by the opposition.

4th and 4 with ~3 minutes left in the game and you allow a delay of game to be called vice taking a timeout.

.... when your team is on a 6-game losing streak and the town is happy about signs of improvement and the fact that the team didn't quit.

When

You have them kicking a field goal on 4th down but ur coach calls timeout, allowing them to go for it and convert, then score a touchdown.

When in 4 years you've never beaten a team with a winning record. Probably the most embarrassing achievement in sports.

you can relate to the emotion of the winless teams coach and his post game speech more than the same 5 things that get said after everyone of your games.

Seriously Hue Jackson connected better than anything ever uttered by Gus.

Why are people critical of not calling a timeout on 4th and 4?  Do you realize there were probably 25 plays on offense where the ball was snapped with 2 seconds or less on the clock?  How is Gus supposed to know that this particular snap was not coming in time?  Give it a rest.  The timeout in a late game situation would be more valuable than the 5 yards.  Yes, I know we were 5 yards short on the next play.  Same answer still applies.

Okay lets go with the play calling after the delay of game.  Did they not use the same play that would have been run for 4th and 4?  Of course we are picking that apart it is just another measure of all that is failure.
