Giants HIT in the offseason....Dave missed

#1

we both spent a ___load of money......we went after sorry Prince....and let Janoris get away...who is a LOCKDOWN CB.

Vernon? no. let him leave florida......instead get Jackson lol

DAVE CALDWELL CONTINUES TO DISAPPOINT. but somehow he gets a pass.

You can't complain and say Gus Bradley needs to go and Bortles has bad mechanics and is a bust without holding the ONE guy accountable who selected both of them.

You HAVE to hit on your coach and QB as GM....Dave did not. It's not arguable.

The Rebuild Starts NOW! Let's find a competent GM. and if Dave has brought ALL this talent to the team that half of you think, it shouldn't be a long road to get wins. but you HAVE to start with a QB and HC.

Here's to our next GM!!!

Vernon wasn't coming to Jax no matter what. He wanted to play for a real team in a big market.

Malik has been a huge hit IMO. We actually did pretty good in FA. The real problem with Caldwell has been drafting busts with our top 5 picks.

Hmmm. Vernon over Malik? Vernon only has 4 sacks, he's not exactly Lawrence Taylor.

Janoris is not worth $62M over 5 years. Sorry.
Only a chump boos the home team!

No he isn't. Nor is Vernon worth what he got either.

Not sure if DC should stay or go right now, good points can be made either way, but he made the right call not paying these two what they ended up getting

So Prince and Janoris are basically the same player most of the time, yet you wanted to throw 62mil for him? No thanks, I'm fine with average Prince for a year.

Also, Malik is and will always be the better than Vernon. Did you forget Malik was the #1 FA to hit the market? We got him and he's producing. Vernon wanted NY and is way over payed - and that's an understatement.

I don't think it's fair to say any GM misses on a FA. When you are bidding on players, there are 31 losing GM's with that logic.

I'm more than okay with not having Vernon, I probably would not have signed Jackson, but his presence on the defense has been significant. Jackson is in the very good, not elite tier of defensive lineman... but If you think he's a bust it's because you are stat counting on a 5 technique Defensive End which is a no-no. Jackson is a prototype for the defense the jags run and he's not ever going to have 10 Sacks, that's not his game. His sacks (like the one today) are usually going to be coverage sacks. Jackson is as disruptive a lineman as there is in the league and it bothers me when stat watchers don't properly analyze what's going on.

I understand you are upset that Jackson is overpaid, but so is that 2014 Toyota Rav 4 you're paying 30 grand for, so who are you kidding! You pay too much for things are good-not-great and you still get to work at 15 minutes after 8 because you stayed up the night before watching old episodes of Fraser

Malik chased down Tyrod Taylor today.... He's far from a miss

Vernon didnt want to come here, he wanted to leave florida in general so thats not on Dave. Not sure if this has crossed your mind but free agents have a choice where they want to go lol.

Prince has been pretty good too, Janoris might be better but also much more expensive. Definitely not a miss in any way. Both him and Malik are key players we should be happy to have.

If you want to complain about free agents complain about Ivory and Gipson.

Of all the things to fault Dave for, you are going after him for Vernon and Jenkins?

Lol because Olivier and Jenkins are all stars with the Giants. I'll give Jenkins a nod over Prince but Vernon and Jackson have given the same amount of production to there respective teams

1.5 of them came against the 0-12 Browns too...

Jenkins is better than Prince but Prince is on a year year deal. Jenkins is on a huge contract in comparison. Vernon never wanted to come to Jax, go read the ESPN article of how it all unfolded. He'd have gone to the Giants or Jets for less money.

Malik has 4.5 sacks this season. I believe that's as much if not more than Vernon has. And oh by the way Malik is a DT, Vernon is a DE. Seriously dude, have you been watching these games? There's plenty of blame to go around but placing it on Dave because of that is absolutely laughable.

Malik was a hit.

Prince was a direct improvement over every CB on our roster at the time (Ramsey is better, but came after)

Ivory is a hit

Gipson was a direct improvement

Nortman has been fantastic

Beachum was a hit
