Caldwell Is A Genius.

#1

He has successfully assembled a team  that is so lacking in talent at all positions he has assured us the first round pick next draft. He has accomplished this in just a few short months. Bravo. He has handed to so many of us the exact thing we wish for, a chance at a franchise QB. Pure genius. He should be inducted to the ring of honor immediately. Not to mention the fine hires at the positional and coordinator levels of coaches assuring that we won't come close to showing an NFL level offense or defense. Thank you Mr. Caldwell for such thorough dedication to assuring the first pick.

Shad Khan didn't give you a call? And you're still mad about it?

You are a  total idiot if you think being the worst team in the NFL is a good thing for us. Anyone who does not want the Jaguars to win every single week is not a real fan so if you guys don't stop that crap, I will call you all fakes. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Gene deserves some credit too. Couldn't have done it without Gabbert and all his other poor selections

Whats the point of the Jaguars going 4-12?  At some point wouldnt you want the worst record in the league guaranteeing yourself the best pick in the draft and adding a player that will help the most?

We had too many 4-12, 7-9 seasons....we kept getting middle of the pack picks (oh, and missing on them!)

You keep saying that and you are still wrong no matter how many more times you say it.

P.S. I hope they lose out. 0-16 BABY!!!

P.S.S. By your definition of a true fan, I guess, well, you're the only fan left. Have fun giving yourself a high five if the jags happen to score offensive points.

Aren't you a Bronco's fan?

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I dont think Caldwell intentionally said, "hey lets tank and get the first pick". He just wants the rookies and young inexperienced players to get time to see if they are worth keeping around for the future, rather than have mediocre veterans playing instead.

The byproduct of that is a bad team, not to mention there were many holes that he couldnt fix in one offseason.

He knew we were going to be bad, but i dont think he was expecting it to be like this.

Sarcasm or not, this could actually be for real. We will never know that though, ever.

I think this year he has assembled a team of very young players knowing there would be growing pains and also the high likelihood of a very good pick.  We will have a good draft position and he will slowly sign free agents that cost a little bit more money and provide more to the team.

It may not be the most fun way to build it, but its better than a string of 7-9 seasons.  I just hope it works.

I take pride in our motto(s):

Blow it for Bridgewater

Muff it for Manziel

Take a loss for Tajh

Man down for Mariota

Fail for Fales

At least this year we will accomplish what the past years have eluded us - a REAL starting QB.

Who's so young on the offense? Joeckel is the only rookie on that side of the ball. Blackmon is a 2nd year guy but hasn't played so basically we have the same offense that JDR had who won 5 games with a 20 year old Gabbert!

You build good teams by having good drafts. It's not necessary to have the top pick and suck for years to keep getting the top pick.

It has nothing to do with being young, it has to do with filling the gaps with the most talented players possible...the only thing is the players you draft actually have to fill those spots.

Whos young on offense?

Shorts - Second year starting

Blackmon - Second year starting

Ace - Rookie, 3 WR sets are becoming the new norm

Rackley - Wanted to give him a chance to see what he could do, as he played ok at times as a rookie.

Luke - Top pick

in 2011 the defense played very well and the offensive line run blocked a lot better than they are now, thats due to Meester being washed and Rackley regressing from his poor form as a rookie.

You build a good team by selecting a good QB, and its much easier to do that at the very top of the draft. Next year we will be vastly improved, so dont say we are going to suck for multiple years.

**Caldwell has achieved the above goal in attempt to finish last.

**Gene Smith achieved the above goal in attempt to finish first.

Rackley is terrible. Not being helped by Meester right now in any way either.
