Okay, okay, wait.  So Vick would be playing lights out in this offense, but Kelly isn't playing him despite the fact that he'd be better than Foles?  Isn't that an indictment of Kelly's coaching?

Look, you either admit that Foles is good, or that Kelly doesn't know how to evaluate his roster.  You can't hold both positions, man.

Watch out, you back him into a corner like that and he might attack like that feral cat in the sideline!

No, its just that its hard to go back to Vick now that the team has gone on a roll with Foles as QB. Simple as that.

The best coaches face adversity.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I was listing to an interview on the website of WFAN in New York.  Carl Banks,  the former Giants Pro Bowl OLB and the long time radio analyst on Giants games was asked about Nick Foles.  To my surprise,  Banks expressed that Foles is a product of the Eagles system and their running game.   The interview can be found by going to the following link:

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/audio/

Then go to the following section:

Beningo and Roberts

The interview was done yesterday, 12-20.    The part involving the talk about Foles is a little after the 17 minute mark.

One thing that seems to be the case is there isn't a consensus opinion on Nick Foles.

And there shouldn't be a consensus on Foles, or Geno Smith, or Colin Kapernick, or Russell Wilson, or
Andrew Luck, or RGIII or anyone else who has played a relatively small number of games.

We love to anoint or blame right away. We think we know, but we really don't.

RGIII and Colin Kapernick especially reflect what you expressed.   Last season,  both QB's were viewed as long term fixtures with many, many Pro Bowls ahead. In the case of RGIII,  many people thought that the St. Louis Rams didn't get enough for pick # 2 in the 2012 Draft.   So much can change in a year.   Now,  the majority of NFL fans seem to think the Rams took the Redskins to the cleaners.

Some have even questioned the 49ers decision to trade Alex Smith even though they will end up with two 2nd round picks for him,  including pick # 34 in the 2013 Draft.

pretty much along the same lines as I reported that Greg Cosell also said about Foles....

Told you all...

Thanks for the find, D6!
