Evans And Cyprien

#1

They played together against the Hawks. Cyp obviously made somebig plays. Evans led the team in tackles. This week they will each be starting the entire game. Im excited. This could be the first game of something good.

I'm looking forward to the Rams game when we get Blackmon back and will have CS3, Lewis, Blackmon, and MJD out there at the same time.

I hate to say I told you so.....about Josh Evans.  Before the message board got switched I made a post that said he would be starting by mid season, and he is the most talented Defensive Player on our team.  I also said he was very raw.

Ok, so I was wrong about Prosinski, but he has turned into a great gunner on special teams.

Josh Evans is a hard hitting safety.

Jonathan Cyprien has the making of a star. It's too bad this team is so bad that even if Cyprien made a strong case for DROTY, he wouldn't get it.

Im not so sure . He might actually be helped by us sucking if he can make some shine plays against known teams he could get the "diamond in the rough" label and be seen as a monster on an otherwise pedestrian team.

I do see what you are saying though and i feel your outcome is more likely just hoping he can make a few plays the ESPN guys cant ignore. A monster hit on Luck for a big FF this next game would be a good start. Just come in clean and take Luck off his feet NFL Classics style. All shoulder with no helmet and Luck left laying on the field with trainers rushing out to assist him.

Hopefully the young secondary will grow and be a strength heading into next season.  One less thing to address, hopefully.

We'll need Gabbert to be Gabbert if we want the 1st pick.

Don't count on it, there's plenty of time for The Yugo to pull his Ovary again.

Evans is starting due to injury (Lowery has a concussion) not because he's the better player. So no.

Coach Bradley said in the interview that their "world" was huge when they started but now that world is getting smaller. This could be a very good secondary by next year...need Gratz back too.

Then the QB in the draft, best guard/center with #2 pick, then add a FA guard/center. It's all good.

Still have to add at least 2 pass rushers (LEO). Both Babin and Branch will be gone next year.

Evans may be starting due to Lowery being injured but that doesn't change my mind that he is the better player with triple the amount of playmaking ability than Lowery.  Just because a veteran is getting the nod over a rookie doesn't mean the veteran is the better player.  He is the safer player.  Adrian Peterson didn't start in his rookie year.  Chester Taylor did.

Not arguing, just saying I think Evans could be the best defensive player on this football team based on his raw ability and hard hitting style.  Its not like we have a bunch of studs.  Who is better based on talent alone?  Poz, Alualu, Mincey, ?????

Adrian Peterson started as a rookie but also split carries. Sometimes Taylor would get the "start" but Peterson would typically get more of the work load. In games where they both played Taylor had more carries one time but Peterson also went off for 224 yards and 3 TDs in that game.
