The only thing keeping me interested in this team right now is the fact that the Clots went from 2-14 to 11-5 just by drafting a QB, and TB is better than Luck, so I expect 12-4.

The biggest problem I see is we don't possess a single consistent unit on the field whether it's QB's, OL, DB, DL, LB's, TE we have nothing that shows up every week.

The fact we can't name one position we improved means one of two things:

 

A.) We went into this season with the plan of sucking and figured we'd just gut the roster and evaluate whatever was left over, an extended preseason if you will

 

B.) We thought we upgraded a few position but made the wrong moves and are now worse at those said positions.

 

Either way that's a backwards way to build a roster, you don't go back to then go forward again, forget whatever analogies you've heard in the past.

 

Every week I'm becoming less and less confident in this new "direction", that so many are ready to deem the "right" direction already.

 

If I'm trying to get to New York and I start out going South then all of the sudden decide to go West, I'm still going the WRONG Direction, feels like this rebuild right now.

Outside of not having a pass rush, the defense has shown flashes, but it is hard to gauge how good they really are when they are constantly on the field after 3 and out after 3 and out.

While I agree with your general statement, that leaving New York thing is just weird and if the goal is just to get out of New York, heading west would still accomplish that.

Good grief. This is not Gene's roster numbskull. Gus and Dave turned this roster over by more than 50% and kept the players they wanted to keep. This is THEIR roster since they assembled it. There is not a single player on this roster they were forced to keep. Unbelievable.
