What Is Wrong With The Texans?

#1

Houston's opening drive: 16 plays, 69 yards, 7:54, 3 points. It would have been much shorter if the Ravens were not penalized multiple times, including 12 men on a FG try. Another long drive in the second quarter also ended with an easy field goal. Before Dayrl Smith's pick six, it was all Texans statistically except on the scoreboard. Last year, if the Texans had the ball that long, they scored a touchdown. I can't credit Baltimore's defense because they were better at committing penalties than stopping the Texans. Am I mssing something here?

The Texans have LOADS of average players. None really bad, none really good.

Starting with the quarterback.

Also, they ran into a buzzsaw today. The Ravens were hyped for this one.

He was above average during previous games against the Ravens.

At 2-1 they're still tied for the top of the division...

...unlike the team from the East.

Is there a team in the AFC South further east than the Jags?

Your worst nightmare .... Teddy Bridgewater hands off to Adrian Peterson on his first NFL play.

It could happen.

That would be my worst football nightmare if they are both wearing purple.

Matt Schaub is not an elite QB. Their coach is overrated. Their window is shrinking fast. I think as of tonight the division is up for grabs between the Texans and the Colts. And that is not a good sign for Houston.

If the goal is just to be better than us...that bar is set WAY too low!!

Basically looks like their window is closing.  The QB is average at best and is on the wrong side of his best days.  Andre Johnson is getting older and still gets hurt whenever he falls wrong.  Cushing stopped using the juice.

Gotta find a QB.

Their defense is still pretty decent.

It's the offense they should be worried about. Schaub will not take them to a Super Bowl, it seems like wear and tear may be getting to Foster, and Andre Johnson is getting up there in age.

It's Schaub.

He's worse than Gabbert but he's on a much better team.

The Jaguars should be looking to trade Gabbert to the texans.
