All This Struggle Is Going To Make One Day So Sweet.

#1

Myself and many friends/family were all diehard Jags fans through the years. Since a couple years ago, slowly but surely they are all turning sour on the Jags. Lack of winning obviously at the center. A couple because we didn't get tebow of course (lol).

I had a discussion with one of them and it really hit me. All this losing and seeing your peers turn sour on the jags is going to make the day that they win in the superbowl all that much sweeter. Everyone around you is going to know that you are the one who didn't jump off the bandwagon. Its going to mean a hell of alot more to you then anyone who has recanted their fanship. The jury is still out on whether the bradely/caldwell combo is going to be the ones to do it but im going to cheer this team even if they aren't.

If/when the Jaguars win the Super Bowl, the friends who abandoned ship will be back on the bandwagon.  It's easy to root for a winner.  It's the true die hards that suffer through the lean years who will fully enjoy it when things turn around.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Bandwagon fans make me more sick than rival fans. Pick a team, fall in love with them and stay loyal.  I would be as much of a Jaguars fan I am today as I will be when they are going 16-0. As the saying goes"Duval til I die,".

I like the pic. Who cares what size it is? A pic like that, the bigger the better.

The AFC is not what it once was. Years ago it was very tough to come out of the AFC. But the times have changed. The NFC is the deeper and better conference. Its easier now for an AFC team to get to the Super Bowl than at any time in the last 10-12 years. There will be a good 3-4 year window starting this year when we could see a lot of surprise teams represent the conference in the big game.

Clearly the Jaguars must improve. But they don't have to be an all time great team to find themselves miraculously with a shot on Super Bowl Sunday. Not in this conference.

I consider myself a die hard.  I've missed 3 home games in all of the Jaguar's existence.  I'll support them in the future as well.  As long as I can, I will renew my season tickets.  My attitude has changed a little in the last couple of years though in the sense that I no longer get nearly as stressed out when they lose.  I hate it, don't get me wrong but I can laugh about it a little too at times in a self-deprecating kind of way.  I think that's healthy.  When they eventually start winning, I just hope I can stay classy and not rub my friends' noses in it too much but time will ultimately tell.   Smile

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

It's so easy to distinguish between a true Jaguar fan and a fan of the winning flavor of the week.

There are those who support the Jags, come hell or high water.

There are those who only support the Jags when they win.

And there are those who only support the Jags for who they want them to be.

Only one group has my respect, and is the ony group I will ever belong to. The rest can kiss my butt.... :woot:

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

A sudden inrush of bandwagon fans means that the team is winning. I am too desperate to care about bandwagon fans, all I care about is the winning part. We'll figure out a way to deal with the annoyance somehow.

It won't nearly be as annoying as the mindless Tebow fans telling us to get Tebow.

Probably not. Stay at the bar, keep drinking and remain bitter. That'll help pass the time.

We will be super bowl contendors in 2015. Our rebuild can go as smoothly as the colts' did, as long as we get the 1st pick.
