Welp, Lonzo Ball is now a Laker

His dad is so annoying but I think Lonzo could turn that team into a contender.

I absolutely was too. I was hoping he'd go to someone like Minnesota.

LaVar makes Richard Williams, Venus and Serena's dad, look like a supportive but not meddling father. The guy is off the charts obnoxious.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I am in the minority, but I like Lavar. Hes kind of an idiot, but in a 'you can do anything you put your mind too' kind of way. I don't take him seriously, and hes funny. And when you see what he does with his kids, making them breakfast every morning, training them, making sure the competitions comes after them so they get better. I mean, you could do a lot worse for a dad. The media loves to grab his comments, but all in all, I just see a very involved parent who has helped his sons achieve success in their chosen field. Not a bad job, especially for today's generation of 'dads'.

I see a dad trying to monopolize on his kids success because he wasn't a very good basketball player at their age. I see a dad that meddles with his kids high school coach and threatens to take his kids elsewhere if they don't do what they say. I see a dad that was more than happy that his high school aged son scored 92 points in a game while not playing defense and cherry picking shots.

I understand why Lavar Ball is the way he is, but it's for all the wrong reasons.

gotta admit when I see the Summer League on the TV schedule I do look to see if the Lakers are playing to get a glimpse of Ball.

Lonzo punked out in tonight's game with a convenient 'groin' injury. Sources says he's fine. But they are sitting him in the game against Fultz.

The same player that put up 39 points in the NCAA tournament to eliminate ucla.

Lonzo only scored 11 points in that game with 4 turnovers.

That triple double was so weak. 11 points. The NBA should change a triple double to a minimum of 15 or 20 points.

I don't know, I just don't like his dad saying he's gonna be better than Magic Johnson. And he's already better than Curry. He acts like he has no class. And he's not humble at all.

Its hard to not hate this guy just because his dad is so easy to hate!

I've never wished harder for a player to bust.

Not a Ball lover or hater, but the summer league is trash and is about as useless of a measuring stick as you can get. The majority of the guys he is playing against won't even be in the NBA next year and will mainly be D league.

Not saying he won't be good, but I would pump the breaks for now. They will be lucky to be fighting for the 8th seed. Having said that, next year will be VERY interesting. The LeBron to LA chatter will be in full force and I think he would legitimately go there.

Funny how Ball couldn't 'handle the heat' when he sat out, but then he ended up summer league MVP, and now the 'summer league is trash.' Not saying the summer league is great, it isn't, but Ball actually did very well tho.
