This is not looking good at all. If we have to start the 4th string CB, plus Fowler getting in trouble - our so-called top 5 defenses is going to get ripped to shreds.

Ramsey had surgery so this isn't anything new.

Colvin is good for a few injuries/year and is probably going to go somewhere else at the end of this season.  He's not worth the hassle.

The first game isn't until Sept 10. No reason to worry right now imo.

It will give the staff a good look at Josh Johnson and Jalen Myrick. As well as giving those guys some work against the 1s in camp.

I am not worried about Ramsey because he missed time last year during camp. Colvin is becoming injury prone.

I wouldn't say "injury prone" just yet. Teams can only place players on the regular season PUP if they were on camp PUP, so if there is any slight injury where they might not practice at the start of camp, they're going to put the guy on PUP. It's often more of a "just in case" placement. I wouldn't be too worried about this reflecting serious injuries.

I'll start to worry 3 weeks into camp if they haven't practiced.
Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17
2016 draft players I think will be good
  • On the Fournette train, will be best back of his class 3/6/17
  • Lattimore please,  Lockdowns on both sides would be nice
  • Engram at TE and the MJD clone Samaje Perine

Jaguar players always get injuried every season. Nothing new.

Still better than the Gene Smith roster where the entire team was physically unable to perform (PUP)

Colvin is becoming more and more unreliable to contribute. When he's healthy and on the field he's a solid player. Too bad I don't think he'll ever reach his potential. Ramsey on the other hand doesn't worry me. He started late last year and was our best defender. If he's still missing time after the 3rd preseason game then I'll start to wonder.
No pain, no gain.

Bumping this thread to note that the secondary is slowly getting healthier.

Gipson and Church were back on the field yesterday and Ramsey is reportedly progressing well and plans to be ready in September.

Colvin is the only guy shrouded in mystery as the team hasn't disclosed much info on his injury and he's still on the PUP list.

Quote:* On the PUP list, CB Jalen Ramsey and CB Aaron Colvin did conditioning drills on a side field. It included 300-yard laps around the field.
