1) he was elected by the electoral college.  The people chose Hillary.  Just a quibble.  You could say duly elected, or constitutionally elected, but not "by the people". Don't look at me.  I wrote in a candidate.

2) the impeachment is based on the idea that we must have fair elections and that inviting foreign governments to get involved in favor of the incumbent makes elections unfair.  Yes, it's also based on emotions and people feeling like Trump is mean.  But they didn't write an article of impeachment about him being mean.  They wrote a logical argument that may not be persuasive, but it can be understood rationally.  You're choosing to focus on the emotional content then accusing them of being too emotional.  No, you're being too emotional.
