Projecting the Jaguars’ initial 53-man roster
http://jacksonville.com/sports/jaguars/2...man-roster I got a board and 53 darts … Time to forecast the Jaguars’ initial 53-man roster. OFFENSE (26) QB (3): Blake Bortles, Chad Henne and Brandon Allen. The Jaguars should keep Allen because if We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Allen should stay and Henne should go. I don't see how you can't apply basic logic to these roster moves.
You invested a 6th RD pick in Allen. He's done relatively well this preseason. Meanwhile you announced an open competition for the starting job, and two days later announce that Bortles won it already. Henne is old, he hasn't played a meaningful game or down in a regular season contest since 2014. You have very little to gain by maintaining him. If you fail this year it'll be mostly due to QB play and poor blocking along the offensive line anyway. Doesn't make any damn sense to keep Henne at this point. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. I don't see Dixon, Pullard, or Allen on this team. I like Wynn, Sterling and Charles. If Bortles or Henne gets hurt, Allen is just a phone call away. But, he's not good enough to take up a roster spot on a team that had just 3 wins last year.
