Veteran Signings?
|
Usually teams will wait until after week 1 before signing a veteran player to avoid a guaranteed full-season contract. There were several suggestions about the Jags signing a veteran OL, or even Kaepernick, but I haven't seen any significant veteran signings by anyone.
Does anyone here know of any? "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?" We show less advertisements to registered users. I guess it depends on what you consider "significant." Buffalo signed LB Jelani Jenkins. But that's all I know of right now. I think the OL Cleveland cut is still out there. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Teams often sign free agents after Week 1 because they have to put other guys on IR or someone fails a drug test. They also cut players during the regular season. It has nothing to do with contracts when players are forced to be taken off the active roster.

Do their players have to fail a drug test or get put on IR to sign FAs? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
On a side note, I don't recall ever seeing a position group (other than QB) completely wiped out top to bottom by injury in one game in my 20+ years of watching football.
We were smacking their TEs. Like for real. |
