Clear Media Bias against the Jags

The Jags jumped from around 29-30 up to that spot in many rankings. I'm not sure what you were expecting? Maybe a jump to 10 based off one win. This isn't college where they are going to jump ahead of teams with even one loss. If that was the case, we'd be ahead of New England at this point.

For 1 win, that big of a jump in meaningless rankings seems appropriate.

- 23rd on USA Today

So let me get this straight, after the most dominating win on NFL Sunday the Jags stay behind two super bowl teams we beat during the preseason in highly, highly emotional games, several teams who didn't play and another team who drew 29 fans to their home opener.

You seriously expected the Jags to be ranked 1-3?!?!

It's not media bias, it's delusion on your part.

I guess you probably think the Rams are the best team in the NFL too hahaha.

Jags, like the Rams, had a good day against a very weak opponent. NOTHING about the game vs the Texans stands out as something sustainable that will bring wins week in and week out for the Jags.

Completing 11 passes is not going to win many games. Averaging 3.8 ypc is not going to win many games. The only way the Jags can win games is by playing against a team that is 100% inept on offense.

Who cares if the media likes us or not? Once we start winning games consistently, then they will start recognizing us. We don't deserve it until then.

You don't deserve it, and you won't start winning games consistently for a long time

Please explain in what way Oakland was "outmanned"...

Was it that they had Derek Carr who is regarded by most as a top QB?

Was it that they were a 12-4 team last year im the toughest division and has added good players to both sides of the ball and is even better now?

I'll wait to hear how Oak was "out manned"

But jags go play a team that is recovering from floods, has a qb that would not be starting on any of the 31 other NFL teams and is missing starting OL and you act like they are full strength hahahah

Don't you dare!! Angry Mod or not I'll come over there and dish you out a whoopin'.

Edit, the recipe is just fine. It's even tastier when you add in a pinch of some flaming tack.

Media....smedia....who cares what they think.
I'd rather they just say it was a fluke and we won't win anymore......until we make it to the bye week and sitting at 6W-1L.
And they're all scratching their heads.   Cool

And it gets worse....

EVERY single newspaper I have researched early this week have the Jags as an Underdog in the point spread section for this weeks game?  So not one newspaper picks us to win??? Is the media trying to keep us down???  We win by 22, The Titans lose by ten to a phenomenally well coached but severely outmanned Oakland team and we are an underdog - a rationale person just can't explain this.  This is clearly another case of Goodell screwing the Jags by controlling all of the media. It has to be.

What should have happened is the national media should be picking up on this fascinating story.  A story where mismanagement (Del Rio, Garrard, Scobee) over the last decade has set our team back but through shrewd moves, strategic coaching hires and outstanding work by Kirsten Grohs, Contract Research and Salary Cap Analyst, have turned the Jags from a laughingstock into a super bowl contender. Or another story where the Jags overcome having the worst kicker in the league, and dominate the home opener, defeating the highly favorite Texans. Or...."Marrone and the Miracles" - the story of how Coach Marrone deprogrammed himself through extensive psychotherapy from everything he learned from Gus Bradley and after just one short preseason has the Jags in first place in ALL of the NFL!!!

It is time for the media to accept the fact that the "Teal Curtain" is here to stay and Roger Goodell needs to accept the fact that we are REALLY good.
Didn't you call for her to be fired two weeks ago. I think its gonna take more than this to get back in Kirsten's good graces.
