I was watching as they panned the crowds during the anthem. As usual, a few singing, most standing quietly, many with hands over their hearts, but more than a few showing their usual disinterest and impatience for the game to begin.

But yeah, they are all passionate patriots ready to boycott the game they love because teams react to criticism of one of their own.

It was a matter worthy of debate but only a minor distraction in the big scheme of things until the Distractor-in-Chief chimed in.
