#1

Crazy to listen to this phone call of police officer suggesting the mayor is sabotaging hurricane relief efforts from the US for political reasons.

Also, who made these shirts? CNN?

Yes, because the mayor of a city in a US territory with no Congressional representation is watching her people die so she can have...a future in local politics?

Weaksauce argument for you and Trump to latch onto. She's a local government official advocating for her people and out there leading search and rescue teams when she isn't trying to get help from the mainland. The suggestion that she's intentionally holding things up is ridiculous and insulting to her. The federal government consistently botches disaster after disaster. Look no further than the delayed reaction in lifting the Jones Act. Why would this response be the fault of local government?

Oh, right, because a Puerto Rican woman dared to call out the Cheeto for handling Puerto Rico about as well as Bush handled Katrina.

Of course its political hyperbole she's not even taking meetings with FEMA that might delay response times just a little.

NO different than Nagin and Landreau, but people still want to blame Bush for not overstepping his authority.

I have no proof, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if she has received marching orders from the left establishment in Washington to stink this situation up as much as possible for Donald Trump in return for a political promotion.

Can you imagine living in a place where an interview with Anderson Cooper and screen printing shirts takes precedence over the lives of your own people? The democrats just keep out doing themselves.

The fact that you don't see her politicizing this disaster is crazy. She is a known corrupt entity and has completely spoken out contrary to what the Puerto Rican Governor and other agencies have stated. The Puerto Rican government has been corrupt for decades and their inability to properly prepare/reinforce infrastructure has caused the real issues. The U.S. has had FEMA on location two weeks before the first hurricane even made landfall. Once ocean ways were clear, ships were on their way. Planes were ready the day after the storms. The problem once again was infrastructure. No usable airports or safe airspace, no port workers, no truck drivers, no equipment drivers, clear roads, no power, nor fuel, etc. This is not a Federal Government botch, this is a Puerto Rican Government botch. This damage is so large scale that the DoD is having to take over to plan and engineer new infrastructure so supplies can get in and distributed. I can tell you the response is large and similar to our initial war/conflict deployments. USNORTHCOM has been coordinating DoD assets and responding hardcore.

FYI, the Jones Act has zero implication on the initial response or distribution of supplies around the island.

They simply can't give up the playbook. It worked for so long.  Now it doesn't and they just can't wrap their heads around it.

We can all assume TJ was drunk from watching Miami play football and wasn't in the right frame of mind when he posted that. I can forgive.

Family that lived in Puerto Rico tell stories about the political class being very corrupt.

Not as bad as Columbia in the 50's but my Mom and Abuela are not at all surprised

And yet the MSM here in the U.S. is pulling out the stops to support the mayor. So what if a few people die? We stuck it to Trump.

I agree. Evidence is building by the hour that she's disrupting the process for political expediency.

Chuck Schumer probably promised her the opportunity of sniffing one of Nancy Pelosi's dusty farts.
