Not sure if Hackett is working or the Chiefs run defense sucks, but the running game appears to be working today

I see an overall difference in the offense. Not enough to say it's turned around, but it's better.

Quote:Not sure if Hackett is working or the Chiefs run defense sucks, but the running game appears to be working today I saw some big holes - nice blocking. On one play Chris Ivory pushed a Chief down. It is looking like our offense stepped up a notch.
We had two games early this year we could have won without penalties. Finally the Jaguars had a game where they managed to limit the penalties, and overall they played really well. This game was again lost to the refs who failed to make the TD call, but even with that, the Jaguars win this game handedly without the turnovers. They just need to clean up their turnovers, and get more on defense, with a little better play out of Bortles in the first half of games. We actually did well in many areas, including the running game and defense, and it's not often we can say that.

I am curious if anyone notice what, if anything, did Hackett change to get the run game going. Did he change protections? I noticed he used Ivory more as a pure North/South runner so I'm sure that helped
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

I noticed he used Ivory more as a pure North/South runner so I'm sure that helped The biggest change is that he called a lot more running plays. Ivory and Yeldon can do a lot more if we lean on them more and let them get some carries. Most RBs need carries to get going. We probably should have ran even more.

Played really well? 4 turnovers is playing really well? 13 points is playing really well?
You're clueless.
Quote:Played really well? 4 turnovers is playing really well? 13 points is playing really well?A: 14 points. B: It should have been 21 with the Ivory TD. C: One of those turnovers was on Special Teams. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:A: 14 points.Oh man... thank god one of those turnovers was special teams. You convinced me. This team just played really well.
Quote:Played really well? 4 turnovers is playing really well? 13 points is playing really well?Well since you don't know football you can't see it. Technically was two turnovers. Not 4. But was called for the chiefs.

Had to work so I didn't see the game, what was up with all the fumbles?

Offense has improved drastically but the turnovers screwed us. Bortles will always throw INTs but we have to minimize other turnovers like Walters fumble and multiple fumbles by the RBs.
Look like it was another game there to be won but nobody can make that one game changing play, based on the score I am going by
Oh I see, this team can NOT turn the ball over, unless their getting turnovers as well
The bright side was that I was very interested in watching right up until the Jaguars final possession.
It's been several weeks since that was the case.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Saw good things in playcalling for sure. The TD pass to Yeldon was the kind of thing we see other teams do to us all the time but I'd rarely even see the Jaguars try.

On the bright side, this is a good year to need a head coach. There a good number of bright young coordinators who are available and appear ready to take the next step.
