One game doesn't feel like enough.

He was not involved in the play. He came all the way from the sideline to get himself involved.

From the ESPN link:

"Physical contact with an official carries a fine of $30,387. If the NFL suspends Lynch for coming off the bench to join the altercation, it would cost him a game check of $79,411."

Nearly $80,000 is enough money to lose. He did not try to injure anyone.

To him? $80,000 may not be.

I'm sorry but one game for a guy coming off the bench, clear cross the field and then making contact with the official the way he did should cost more than one game.  This is something the NFL should have a hard stance on and set a tone.

I'll tell you all what. Over the years watching and attending Jags games there was plenty of times I would have gladly [BLEEP] slapped a Ref. Wallbash  Angry

Lynch joined his friends and family in the stands after ejection. Laughing

Dude pushed, grabbed, pulled, and then pushed the ref.

This should be a minimum 4 games.

He was worried about his family and made a really dumb decision. He cost himself about two games and a bunch of cash. Pretty fair punishment. If he ever comes off the bench like that again though.....I'd hit him with half a season.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

That is why he was suspended one game instead of just fined.

At least he should be suspended for two games. Wonder if the fines are going to be very high, as he did hit a ref. Even if he says he was trying to defend Carr.

He will only be suspended one game, not fined on top of it. That is still a ton of money - $79,411 IIRC.

His actions were an attempt to "play peacemaker." He was trying to defend close friend and fellow Oakland native Marcus Peters, who was being shoved by other Raiders players.

That excuse is irrelevant. I don't care that he ran out there to help Peters.

No one was fighting or even had their hands on Peters when Lynch pushed the ref out of the way.

I don't like any excuses either. He knows the rules.
