The Death of Dreams: How the left stole the Heart of America

#1

America is generally a Country that wants to be good and decent. Over and above the 3.5 trillion dollars of federal tax revenue we find a way to donate 360 billion some odd dollars to charity each year as a nation. IT could be argued that we are the most generous country in the history of the world. I hate seeing that goodness taken advantage of by slicksters in suits with D’s behind their names.

Every parent with a kid in college knows the con. The smart kids don’t ask for money for beer, fast food, or the like (at least most don’t.) It’s much more effective to say its for a new laptop for organic chem class, a study aid for U.S. History, or a tutor for Calc 3.

The left isn’t going to come out and say, “we want trillions of dollars to enrich ourselves and our electoral benefactors.” That just sounds silly. Green energy? That will get you an annual special on Nickelodeon! It still goes to grease palms and buy support, but doesn’t it just sound so amazing? What about infrastructure investment…. Shovel ready jobs! We are going to save the country! 10 trillion dollars later we still have the same pot holes, the same pitfalls, and the same job market. We still have the echoes of soaring rhetoric, we still have to clean up the ticker tape from the parade and find a way to shoulder the tax burden of interest on the new debt, but the broken promises?

Just because someone slaps clean air, racial equality, abolishing poverty or whatever bumper sticker on a box of legislation doesn’t cover the stench of what’s really inside! The Staier brothers got their money, Solyndra got their money, The rainbow coalition got their money, The uranium one deal made someone a ton of money, the Haiti relief money made a lot of people filthy rich! But what about solar energy, the people who still have to live in underserved communities, the people who still have to fight and die to protect this country, and what about all the people that those funds were supposed to help?

Hot air lifts balloons not GDP!
