I looked before posting this and didn't see it. If I missed it my apologies. Brett Kollman is one of my favorites. He breaks down the jags game against the colts.

Brett is a Texans fan, but he tells it like it is. He also has good videos on Fournette and Cam that he did predraft.

I love this video, but come on. Complete defense? It is putting up some crazy stats but the rush defense is only average at best. But it is probably the best defense we've ever had in Jax. On a related note, can you imagine this defense with the 99 offense? Good gravy.

That was pretty good, thanks for sharing it.

In 1999 we had the #4 total defense. I don't know how high the specific pass and run defenses were ranked.

This defense is more talented although that one was probably more physical.

I was wondering how adding Dareus changes the physical analysis.

I think the back 7 for the 1999 team was more physical than our back 7 now.

Ramsey is the most physical CB in our history.  Donovin Darius is probably the hardest hitting player in our history.  His hits against Kyle Brady, Jerome Bettis, and LaDanian Tomlinson were the stuff of legends.

I think Kevin Hardy was bigger than our LBs and stronger at the point of attack.

At minimum, I think Dareus makes us better against the run.

During the 20th century defenses were allowed to be more physical than they are today.

DBs in particular. But defensive players today are on average faster and stronger than they've ever been.

A draft analyst wrote teams want bigger DBs now, with the trend leaning toward guys over six feet and 200 pounds. Meanwhile more OLBs are former college DEs.
