So long as we address LG, RG, and RT in FA/later in the draft I'm on board with this.

I would much rather get Garrett(best player in the draft) and I would consider trading up for him. I would also rather have Allen than Fournette

Assuming we can't get Garrett, I would be cool with a Ronald Leary + Leonard Fournette offseason.

If we draft a RB high, pay a RB top 10 money, and then draft an RB absurdly high 3 years in a row I would be quite shocked and upset.

McDowell or Allen or Peppers or Adams...or a QB.

Plus Dan Feeny/Pocic/Eflien in the 2nd and a RT in the 3rd sign me up.

I know where the frustration would come from but Fournette is a generational type talent. Providing we can fix the Oline it would be hard to pass up on him. With a coaching change I think this defense will be a top 10 unit and combine that with a good run game led by Fournette and Yeldon...should win the division easily.

Fournette transcends the "running back position is overrate" narrative. And Dallas is having success after taking Elliot, so it's not like taking a running back high can't translate into wins. Last I checked, last time we took a running back in the first round we went 14-2.

Maybe, if provided we fix the oline, Yeldon and Ivory would be plenty.

Also true. When (the few times) Yeldon has gotten space he's looked good IMO. Fournette is such a freak though (doesn't mean he can't bust though)

It all depends on the new staff but rebuilding the Oline has to be top priority.

Sucks to say but we'll be in a very good position to grab an elite player.

If picking in the top 5 my top 5 players I would consider to draft would be

1. Fournette- get this guy and fix the OL later in the draft/FA.

2. Garrett- Elite pass rusher, could be better than Von Miller. Move Fowler to SAM.

3. Kizer- Depending on who our coach is we could draft a QB

4. Allen- Very disruptive interior pass rusher. Him and Jackson could transform to our old DT days.

5. Trade down acquire extra draft picks and get Peppers or Adams.

Yeldon is a finesse runner who lacks power and strength and Ivory lacks the 2nd gear to breakaway in the open field. We need someone with power and a 2nd gear. Fournette and a few others in the draft have those qualities.

And I think that combo would be just fine if we had adequate QB play, and we could use our elite draft pick on someone who can rush the passer.

Looking at our schedule, I would predict we end up picking 3rd unless Bortles somehow turns it around. Regardless of where they pick, however, the Jaguars need to take the BAP regardless of position. If the Browns and 49er's pick 1st and 2nd, the pick would have to be Garrett. I like the idea of moving Fowler to SAM as someone already mentioned. If there were any elite left tackles, that would have to be a consideration however it doesn't look like that will be the case. The guard position does look strong for the draft and Pocic/Feeney would be great 2nd round choices.

As far as Fournette, this will be a tough decision. Elliot has done great, but his offensive line is the best in the league and the Jags have the worst. Yeldon/Ivory aren't great, but there are greater needs on this team.

The best scenerio for the draft would be if some q.b. desperate team is willing to trade up and give the Jaguars a haul of high draft choices. Getting an extra 2nd and 3rd this year would enable them to address several positions and the extra 1st rounder next year could be used to draft a q.b if Bortles doesn't improve next year.

After seeing some mid round running backs develop lately, id wait on drafting a RB. Zeke Elliott is a fantastic back (helping me win my fantasy football league) but I think Yeldon would put up good numbers with Dallas' OLine. We desperately need help along the line. It's not a sexy pick but I think we have a decent young crop of defensive starters (Could possibly grab R Foster in the 2nd) but we need to go heavy on the o line. This group has severely under performed. I'm not sure this is a great year for offensive linemen. I have a co worker who bleeds Crimson blood for Alabama and we have both noticed that Cam Robinson has been underperforming this year. He was my pre season pick

The next Adrian Peterson/Bo Jackson. Speed to take it to the distance, power to run through defenders, some wiggle to get round defenders.Jaguars front office is dumb to pass on this guy if he's there. Plug and play, pro bowl in his first year, first of many, barring injury.
