The Proper Rebuild
|
I've been in Arizona since 2011. Phoenix to be exact. Was a season ticket holder my very first year because I love football. The stadium is nice and close to my home. And tickets were cheap because the cardinals sucked at the time.
2011 they drafted Patrick Peterson #5 overall. That's proof of how crappy they were. The got a new GM in 2013. Steve Kleim. Made him the lowest paid GM in the NFL. Made him earn the respect and contract he has now. Kleim brought in Bruce Ariens in 2013 and built his staff. If you have any doubts on the man Bruce is.....watch the Cardinals season documentary on Amazon prime. That same year, the new front office took a chance on a young super talented prospect who was falling in the draft due to off the field issues and NFL teams concerned about character. Tyron Mathieu was drafted in round 3. He is now one of the best safeties in the NFL. The entire franchise has turned around since I been here from having the number 5 pick to going to the NFC championship last year. Don't give me excuses about a roster. A QB. Etc. It can be done. But it starts with the right GM and head coach. We have NEITHER!!!!! Wanna fix this crawl and turn things around? Follow the Cardinals blueprint. Nunber 1 RB this year? Oh. Just another gen their GM found in the middle rounds that everyone passed on. David Johnson. The proof is there. It's doable. Not with Gus. Not with Dave. A team can go from top five pick to contending with .500 in a single year. Happens all the time. Khan allows 4 years for guys to win 2 to 5 games every year with nosigns of improvement.
If anyone honestly thinks khans long term plan is to keep the jags in jax ur naive as hell
You give Arians this roster and they're every bit as good as AZ by now.

No one with a brain can even try to evaluate ANY talent on this team without 1 year of competent coaching
