I'm posting facts and also questioning the accuracy of some of the facts. I suppose we could do time/motion studies to determine if it's possible to transition from autistic teen with backpack to mass shooter in full metal body armor helmet and goggles, rifle in battery, while climbing a stairwell in 15 seconds or less. But we shouldn't have to. Our amazing public servants SRO Peterson and Sheriff Israel have hi-def footage from THREE angles of every stairwell and hallway in the school. But the Sheriff says showing us the footage would reveal too much about the school's "security systems".

As for the radios, the responders were not inside buildings and were not at the edges of the transmission area. This is the 2nd time in 2 years this same Sheriffs Department claimed the radios were down during a mass shooting. But the responding deputies apparently had no trouble receiving the radioed "stand down" order from captain Jan Jordan.

Edit: They also recently released some audio from the event, a few 911 calls apparently made from the school, and, incredibly, some recordings of radio transmissions from SRO Peterson, telling other responders to stay at least 500 feet away from Building 1200. So the radios worked fine when Jan Jordan told them to stand down and when Scot Peterson told them to stand down, but not any other time.
