I'm sure you're not saying we should sign him "at any cost."  Are you?  

We have to sign him to a contract that allows us to do all or most of the other things we'd like to do.  $16 million is the franchise tag.  I'm starting to think, maybe we let him walk at that level, and use that money for other desirable things.  

So, sign him?  Sure.  But doesn't it depend on the cost?  Can we do Robinson, and Colvin, and Pugh?  I doubt it.  Sure, we can draft Hernandez, but what if we don't sign Colvin, and there's a nice CB/NB sitting there when it's the 29th pick?  Do we still draft Hernandez? 

Spending money means making choices.
