Cool. I feel comfortable with Fournette, Yeldon and Grant as the main trio. Of course they can always add another player if they feel like they can find an upgrade. Yeldon stepped up a lot last year between the blocking and pass catching out of the backfield.

that was a weird 2-year tenure with the Jags.

mysterious illness prior to the 2016 season and then just kind of disappeared once again last season (even when he was cleared to play)

i definitely loved his running style ... hopefully he can stay healthy (and not go to an AFC competitor)

And released several other players. But no news of Hurns. Too soon to read anything into that?

That move makes sense. We are set with Fournette and Yeldon. Grant will probably see a little bit of a bigger role as well.

They may be looking to deal him elsewhere for some type of compensation. Or it could be a matter of what they want to do with Robinson and Lee.

Expect a RB drafted between rounds 3 - 5.

I hope not. I think we're fine at that position.

Estimated cap space now puts us at 28 million.

Had to be done. We have enough depth that it still isn't an immediate need.

No surprise here.

Fournette is a 1st round pick entering his 2nd year.

Yeldon really stepped up this past season and I think was used more efficiently in PA

Grant is speedy and had some nice outside runs.

I don't think Ivory could even do shortage very well. Just give it to Fournette who'll leapfrog everyone

I wonder if they are trying to persuade Hurns to renegotiate his contract.

I doubt it unless a back like Sony Michel falls unexpectedly. More than likely you’ll see a day 3 pick used in this deep RB class. (And we don’t have a 5th)

At least he's well rested since the Dawgs & Jags had the same strategy of utilzing their bigger back (Chubb and Fournette) and plunging them up the middle in the 2nd half of their most critical game of the season

I kind of feel like the Jaguars made their bed with Hurns when they paid him early, and now they have to sleep in it.

No team is going to trade for Hurns with his salary, and if the Jaguars were going to cut him, they'd have already done so.

I noticed some talk of him perhaps renegotiating. Well, a typical renegotiation is just about freeing up money and doesn't actually lower what the player is getting paid. They have several players, including three DLs, they can do that much with who are sure to be on the roster for a long time. The expectation when talking about Hurns renegotiating is that he'll actually take a pay cut, but you rarely ever see players willingly take a pay cut. I'd be surprised if that actually happens.

I this point I still feel like ARob, Hurns, Dede and Cole will be on the roster this year likely along with Mickens since they like him as a punt returner.
