Blakes Heading to California this week to start throwing with Houses Team

#1

In his interview after signing his extension Blake stated that his wrist is almost 100% and he was heading out to California to start throwing with Adam and the rest of the House team. No word if the Cole, Westbrook or Mickens are going out with him but that would be a prime opportunity for them to get some work in with Blake. I think Cole and Westbrook could be very good in their second year and i would like to see more of Mickens at receiver. If we sign Arob and let lee go that would give us Arob, Hurns, Cole, Westbrook, Mickens. We still have a couple like Strong and Green on IR as well. Blake will have ample targets if these coaches ever decide to throw more passes this year.  We still need upgrade pass catching TE and some improved OL.

This is why people need to leave Bortles alone. At least he wants to be great and is taking steps. Can’t say the same for a lot of other QBs in the league since most don’t spend their off-season doing this.

There's no downside to this.

Continuing to work on his game is exactly what he needs to do. There’s still untapped upside there for him.

Last year was "survival" mode for him. This year he can fine tune things and possibly even add some throws to his bag. More work on keeping his mechanics workable under pressure could yield big dividends. Also feel we might see more of that 2015 type velocity from him in 2018.

I like this a lot. I think he's coming out of the Gus Bradley stupor that seemed to cause him to regress in pretty much every aspect of his game. We saw it during the season and with him working and being this dedicated in the offseason, I think he comes back this coming season like the second coming.

Everyone around him talks about his mental toughness and how he pretty much shrugs off the insanity that comes from the media, and we've seen how he can play like a boss under pressure. That's with the issues he's had with most of his number one receivers on rotation through injuries and having to throw to rookies and a PS guy (Mickens), not to mention his star RB having injury issues. If all the pieces fall into place can you imagine Blake's play making abilities? I have been on the fence about him since his regression after his first year but I'm pretty excited now. Okay, maybe pretty tentatively excited. Lol

You are really struggling with this! God forbid he trays to improve! You complain about the way he plays now , then you complain when he wants to improve.

You realize Brady, Brees and even Payton Manning never stopped working on the way they throw the ball right. Go look up articles on Eli heading in to his 4th year and they said they same things about him.

Tom Brady has or recently gone to the same place. Guess he can't throw still either. Nothing wrong with not getting complacent.

It's time to graduate from mechanics school and move on to reading defense like Peyton Manning so the Jaguars passing game can attack the entire field and open up the NFL passing playbook from 40% to 100%

I see what's going on, you must be related to Blake and just trolling.  You apparently know for a fact that he doesn't know how to throw and isn't working on reading defenses like manning.

Is anyone leaking sources for a small fee?  I need to get in on the inside scoop stuff

That will never happen as long as marrone is the coach and hacket is the OC. you ppl need to realise they want to run to win, this team will never be wide open new orleans type offense as long a marone is still the coach.

He is actively doing the things he needs to do to graduate, so why are you complaining?

Just stop, dude. You know absolutely nothing about QB mechanics, so put on the pointy hat and go sit in the corner.

I'd like to see more running. Never thought I'd say that about a QB, but Blake is very good at it.

Pitching Guru Tom House has a training center in California that helps many of the top QBs like Tom Brady with their mechanics and throwing of the football. Blake went out there after his first year and the difference was noticed his second year. The OC Olsen did not let Blake go out there after his second year and he regressed. After his 3rd year he went back out there and he improved this year. So now he heads back out to the training center where he will work on improving and hope it shows up next year.
