Want to share a link to Bill Walsh's 1997 guide to how he evaluated each position on the football team.

For example this excerpt from how he addresses the guard position:

GUARD
Ideal size: 6-3, 300
The guard is going to have to be styled with the system of offense you have or the offense must be styled as to who the guards are. Typically, you style your offense in relation to who you have at the guard positions. You have to adapt your style to your guards.

Read every one of them. The late Coach Walsh was really terrific for sharing his knowledge.
