The 2015 NFL Draft Class

#1

In my opinion the driving force for all of our spending this offseason is the lack of production from the 2015 class.

I believe the team feels safe spending in this period because they know that no one from that class will be given a major extension.

Class:
Dante Fowler - solid young player, this one has a feel similar to Colvin.  A good rotational player that had health issues his rookie year and will command starting money from another team.

TJ Yeldon - I think he is a solid player and may earn a modest extension.  His ability to pass protect is still much stronger than our other options.

AJ Cann - The team seems to like him, I have heard mixed reviews.  At best he was up and down last year.  He may earn an extension this year, who knows.

James Sample - Gone

Rashad Greene - Completely imploded 2 years ago, he will have a uphill battle in camp to make the team.

Michael Bennet - May not make the team

Neal Sterling - Gone

Ben Koyack - Was previously cut, but is an exclusive rights FA now.  Not a bad depth player.

Corey Grant and Chris Reed were also brought in as UDFA.

I don’t think any of these guys will force the Jags to make room for a blockbuster deal.  Happy to be wrong, but not worried about signing the premier group of players from the 2016 draft.

People need to relax and look forward to seeing how the pieces we added perform on the field.

Disappointing draft. Gotta get at least one game breaker in each draft.

Fowler and Yeldon are quality players.
Bennett was a good rotational DT for a while but has had injuries and the spot was upgraded in FA.

Corey Grant and Koyack represent great value.

Cann looked good as a rookie but has faltered since.

Not a great draft. Not a terrible one either.
