I think Scott is going to be a great punter. I would be ecstatic if we drafted him in round 6 or 7.

No way St. Brown slides that far. Unless he gets into some trouble from now until draft day. His floor is 4th round.

That's what I was thinking.
I've seen him projected 3rd or 4th round a lot. With some draftniks higher on him as a round 2 guy.

Saw him there and thought "well this is a steal" if nothing else, the guy actually drafted there would likely be a PS candidate at best anyhow

At one point Kiser was considered 1st round talent. Crazy how things change.

My Version:

I tried to chase value more than need here and it shows up big time in the first three rounds. While Hurst definitely fits a need, Davenport and Leonard were just too good for me to pass up even though they join what may be viewed as a crowded room.

29: R1P29
EDGE MARCUS DAVENPORT, UTSA

61: R2P29
TE HAYDEN HURST, SOUTH CAROLINA

93: R3P29
LB DARIUS LEONARD, SOUTH CAROLINA STATE

129: R4P29
RB KALEN BALLAGE, ARIZONA STATE

203: R6P29
WR DAURICE FOUNTAIN, NORTHERN IOWA

230: R7P12
S DOMINICK SANDERS, GEORGIA

247: R7P29
QB RILEY FERGUSON, MEMPHIS

Nope. Wynn was off the board. I was hoping to land Hernandez in RD2 because of how they had him ranked on the value board but I felt getting Esch there was solid value at a position of need.

Yeah, Marcus Davenport keeps dropping to 29 whenever I draft and I always grab him up due to talent over need. But then there is no one I like in the rest of the draft for OL.

I agree... I think we could sign 3 starter and a solid contributor in the top 4 rounds at OG, LB, TE, and RB. But I think OG has to be #1 because they just don't exist after round 1. I think one of Gesicki, Goedert, Andrews or Hurst will be there in round 2. I think either Chubb or Royce Freeman will be there in round 3, and I HOPE Leonard or Jewell will be there in round 4.

I love the trade down move w the Giants.... dislike drafting a punter unless its the 7th round.

He is the best punter in the draft and the best one to enter the draft in quite a few years. Ideally I probably could have waited until the 6th, but I knew he would be an easy A+ for the draft game so I took him.
