Domestic energy got significantly cheaper starting in the early 2010s because of fracking.
We use the least expensive energy available.
Coal is heavy and natural gas has to be stored at extremely low temperatures or extremely high pressures. But oil can easily be shipped around the world at standard temperature and pressure. It can easily be poured from a barrel that says "Made in Iran" to a barrel that says "Made in Saudi Arabia."
If oil is the least expensive energy available, we will use oil from the country that produces it at the least expense regardless of if we like that country or not.
Our economy is indeed benefiting from the extremely cheap Natural Gas. And our economy would also benefit if internationally we were the least expensive producer of oil.  But there has been no direct effort from our government to avoid using mid East energy. Obama doesn't deserve credit for the economy of fracking any more than Al Gore deserved credit for the internet.  In both cases those who took risks employing smart people to work many years perfecting those things, with little to no short-term return, deserve the credit. But Trump doesn't deserve any credit for this kind of thing either.

Can YOU expand on the part(opinion) about trump not being responsible for good things happening in the trade sector pertaining to oil.
Is there and links to this projection

I gave you the explanation.
Government intervention is not super effective. Oil is fungible and the origin of oil is easy to conceal.
The private sector does the cheapest thing possible.
A technological breakthrough happened in the 2010s where fracking became a lot cheaper. It is relatively difficult to export Natural Gas across ocean so the US, Canada, and Mexico get almost all of the benefit from these discoveries.
The research happened mostly while Bush II was in office.
The research was completed and implemented on a large-scale while Obama was in office.
The economic benefits began to spread during his second term and we are continuing to feel the echoes of this in the in the circular flow of money.
Obama spending a little more money on Healthcare or Trump spending a little more money lowering certain tax rates are both tiny tiny things compared to the impact of this technology that neither of them had anything to do with.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.
