You could not be more wrong.

Regarding the first part in bold, this is not a "Trump policy".  As of matter of fact, this administration is actually doing the right thing by enforcing the law as written.

Regarding the second part of your comment in bold, no they are not "asylum seekers".  These are people that broke the law by entering the country illegally.  It's not a new policy for children to be taken away and/or separated from their parents when their parents break the law and are undergoing criminal proceedings.  Check out this article for more details.
