Man, one of the best ball/strike umpires ever.
If you ever saw a game with him behind the plate, you would remember it. He would generally turn towards the first-base dugout and bellow out his strike calls. First time I remember seeing him behind the plate, I was sitting right in back of that dugout and he would step right towards us and yell. He was awesome and I immediately became a fan. Must've been a good umpire because for all of the theatrics I never saw a big beef from any player with him. Truly one of the more memorable umpires ever. I know that there were quite a few umps in youth and HS ball who tried to emulate that move when I was a player and coach back in the day.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
