The FA is looking for better offers and will soon start to actively attract higher bids. Shad Khan first expressed an interest in buying Wembley in February 2017. The first firm offer was made in the fall of 2017, but it took 6 months of talks to get to the stage when they were able to go public in spring this year. They like Khan’s bid because it gives them a lot of control over Wembley still and doesn’t interfere with their ability to stage soccer matches there.
