So, Bortles hasn’t looked so hot. Yes, it’s preseason but it fits with what we know from his past body of work.

That said, I’m not sure why anyone should be freaking out. Not that he’s necessarily going to instantly flip a switch come week one, but we already knew what we were in for.

For better or for worse this FO decided to give him another prove it year and they didn’t bring in any significant competition. And really, right now there isn’t any out there. So don’t complain and strap in. Our best hope is for a dominant run game and solid defense like last year. No sense in panicking though

Teddy Bridgewater is perfect for this run heavy offense with short quick accurate dink and dunk passes.

Any QB is “perfect” for this run first offense.

Just wasn't the same preseason without a "Blake is terrible" meltdown around here.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

To be fair, Blake instigates it.

I don't think he's terrible.  I also don't think he is, or ever will be, anything more than average.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Well a bad bortles is a whole lot less worrisome to you guys than a bad mariota is to tack fans. So look on the bright side

We've played 3 Super Bowl contenders with excellent to Top 5 Defenses and because Blake hasn't put up Madden numbers we need to call the Jets about Teddy like we didn't just give Blake a hefty contract. Get a grip people!

The 2nd INT was not pretty, but these things happen to every QB. His stat line was pretty nice outside of those two INTs (big but, I know). We can certainly win with him I have no doubts about that

Bortles is actually 4th in the league in preseason passing yards

but tied for the lead in ints.

If Bortles continues to turn the ball over he could find himself on the bench. Kessler has looked impressive.

Bortles looks exactly how we knew he would. As long as he keeps the dumb plays at a minimum we will be ok.
