Now I dont know much about DeSantis.  Assuming is a smart guy.  Yale, Harvard Law.  But how in the world do you make a statement like that?  As a conservative in the political arena, the Left will always try to paint you as a racist.  Bush was a racist.  Romney.  Before all these over the top homages, McCain was a racist.  If they caught you sifting out the black jelly beans because you dont like the taste of licorice, it would be your subconscious racism.  And everyone knows this.  So how in the world do you make a slip up like this?  Do you not prepare yourself in the slightest?  

I have no idea if he has any history of racism.  If this is a trend, then it's very possible he is a racist.  If not I suppose you should give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe this is a phrase he uses all the time and had no ill will.  But gimme a break.  What a boob.

I wouldn't vote for him for the simple fact that he bowed down to Marco Rubio. [BLEEP] that guy. Gillum may or may not be the best candidate but he at least has a lot more experience than DeSantis does in the political arena. Tallahassee does have a high crime rate. I'll give Trump that one. That's an easy one though.

But he's been the mayor there for four years. Takes time to clean that [BLEEP] up. And with more growth comes more potential problems. And it's not like Jacksonville (The Murder Capital of Florida at one point for 11 years strong), Tampa, Miami & Orlando are that much better. DeSantis and Scott stand to more than likely be the ones that get promoted politically since we're in a red state now.

But I wouldn't lean towards DeSantis. I could give two [BLEEP] and one [BLEEP] about him being a Jacksonville native as well. Means jack to me.
