How is this final already? Isn't it 5:30 am over there?
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
Sometimes you just have to trust a trainers ability to identify what an intact knee ligament feels like.

I'm sure the team Ortopod made the call on the field in about 2 seconds the way it looked. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato
I saw last night where they reported it.
My skepticism came from the history that a medical staff will wait for swelling to reduce before they exam the injury.

Feel bad for him, but he did this to himself. Too valuable of a position to be fighting for an extra yard in game 3.
It's crazy that we've seen an influx in ACL injuries in the NFL over what feels like the last two or three years. Especially at the QB position. It's just weird. Give it some time.

Give it some time. I think part of the problem is that the human body wasn't built to be as "athletic" as some of these trainers are making it.
He wasn't looking that great this year so far but still sucks for him, but atleast he got paid.
No Fun

1010XL had whoever that Orthopedic doctor on that they usually have on during football season once a week, can't remember who it is...anyways they talked about this and he basically said lots of times they have to wait for results of things like MRIs to "officially confirm" a torn ACL but that they can basically tell immediately when they go out onto the field to do the evaluation.

Especially at the QB position. It's just weird. Give it some time. This is true. Dr Chao was talking about that on XM a couple weeks ago. Basically said an ACL is an ACL. A world class athlete doesn't have any bigger or stronger ligaments than any other person and add in the ridiculous stress these cuts and pure strength put on the joints/ligaments. Granted there are of course genetic exceptions, and athletes probably have more flexibility in them from stretching/etc. But at the end of the day, ligaments are only so strong.
Horrible situation for Jimmy G. and the 49ers. And a nightmarish situation for the NFL , with the 49ers scheduled for 4 Prime Time National TV games in a relatively short period of time.
