The only good news is hopefully Bortles and Dave will be fired at season end

Well all’s well that ends well.
I will say this: last time Bortles was benched, in the 2017 preseason, it seemed like it lit a fire and he played better than straight up garbage. We can only hope this can do the same. We don’t need a 400 yard game, just some good third down throws and NO TURNOVERS Guess we will see
Yeah! Now that Blake is feeling real pressure he will finally whip out that next level he was saving for just this moment. Those 60+ games he has started previously was all just conning us.

This is the only logical move. If Kessler were the answer, he would've won the job in preseason. Blake isn't the answer, either. The answer will come in the off season, if it comes at all.
Fix the O-Line!
Marrone is setting himself up to:
A) Lose the locker room. Playing Blake while also preaching to other units to play better rings hollow. Why should the defense listen to anything he says about accountability when he doesn't hold the most important player accountable for his awful play? B) a likely losing season this year and that makes 2019 a must win year even though he likely won't have any QB. That's a good recipe to get fired.
How?! How can you make this decision after watching last weeks game?! Kessler was better in every aspect. Will Kessler single handedly win us games? No, but he can manage the game and keep the offense on the field a lot better than Bortles can. This is purely because Blake is being payed so much and the franchise wants to keep face and not look like idiots 7 weeks into giving Bortles 3y/54 million, and I hate that.
This is good news, it means they have not thrown in the towel on the season. If Kessler was starting it would be a tank job we cant win with kessler.

About B, it's too early to even think about winning a game let alone a season. 2019 looks incredibly uphill with all the roster work they'll have to do (offense will need a total rebuild for quality and FA losses, cap space needs to be cleared on defense).
They are just as inconsistent as Bortles. Maybe that's why he is... we are back to square one ladies and gents. Dave, Hackett, Doug are all gone after this season unless we do a 180; along with our playoff and super bowl window... man that was short lived....
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!
