Jags run game statistical breakdown

Pretty cool chart here from Warren Sharp.  No real surprises but its nice to see it broken down. 40% of the run game is inside and outside zone. QB runs/scrambles by far our most effective plays.

Couldn't run zone. Couldn't run power. Didn't try to run misdirection plays or pull lineman. Couldn't set the edge. Basically they can't do diddly-poo running the ball.

It’s crazy that aside from LT, it’s essentually the same OL as last year that led the league in rushing and we can’t do anything this year.

That stat was flimsy at best for last year. In the second half of the season the team actually struggled to move the ball on the ground when they really needed it. It definitely carried over to this year and has been exasperated by the LT position injuries and the surprise drop off  in the play of Norwell/Cann. They are completely ineffective running right now no matter the case.  I do not think Fournette being back and ready is going to matter much even if he is. Maybe between him and Hyde they can angry us a few yards on the ground against the clots.

We don't have a run game and can't really pass outside of shallow crossing routes and a few deep throws. Other than that the offense is just great.

Marone and Hacket Run Game specialist and Offensive Line Guru, and they cant get one yard by running so they throw it 3 times. Fire these fools already.

Cann's struggles are no real surprise. The surprise was learning he'd start the season at RG.

As for Norwell, I'm not so concerned. Sure he struggled to get the scheme down early on this season, but then Cam went down followed by Wells leaving Norwell to pick up much of the slack resulting from the LT position.
