What kind of voodoo are the cowboys using to hold the saints scoreless at halftime.

These refs are awful. Same crew we had for Pittsburgh. So many missed calls and then calling nothing.

But wait...defense and a running game can't win in the NFL....

It was so low scoring and boring, I fell asleep at halftime, woke up at 12:30, game was over, brushed my teeth and went back to sleep.

Consistently.

If they played that game 10 more times, you really think the Saints are going to score only 10? Consistent success in the NFL is led by your QB.

I know, right?

Shoot-out football is a fad.  Just like the wildcat, the run and shoot, blah, blah, blah.  In the next off-season or two, the league will tweak the rules so that the game is not as skewed in favor of the offense.  It may never go back to what it was 3-5 years ago.  But it won't be what it is now.

You're always going to need a qb who can win from the pocket.  You're always going to need a good running game.  And you're always going to need a good defense.

The only teams that win 'consistently' due to the QB are the ones that have one of the top 3 or 4 quarterbacks.  Even at that, Brees has won one Super Bowl and Rodgers has won one Super Bowl.   Brady, Roethlisberger, and Eli Manning are the only modern QBs to win multiple Super Bowls.  And Eli Manning is not a top-flight quarterback and never was.

There's no magic formula.  You need to do whatever you do and do it well.  That's my opinion...you are welcome to yours.

Saints offensive line looked terrible. Never underestimate the impact a decimated OL can have on your season.

It's not an opinion though. Great QBs consistently do better in the league than anything else.

Just go back and look at the teams making the SB in the last 10 years. The worst QB to start in a SB is Flacco or Foles? Running the ball and playing great defense won a game yesterday. The majority of the games won this year have been by great QBs playing great.

Actually, it is an opinion.
