QB Options not in the Draft

So it seems like Flacco and Foles will be available anyone else?

If either of them are available which do you want?

As long as it's a mid rounder, I like this idea.

I love Mullens.

I like the Mullens idea. We have an extra 3rd RD pick. But are the 49ERS willing to part ways with him?

He may be stuck there now like Foles was this year with the Eagles. Not sure where Jimmy G is at recovery wise.

I could live with Flacco in 2019 as a stop gap. Maybe they draft a guy like Herbert, Lock, Haskins or Grier to groom for a year.

If they are free agents we can get them for what we can get them for. Flacco would be a stop gap but Foles could potentially be our QB. I am not saying I want Foles but from what I have seen of him he's been good...

Davis Webb should be a free agent.
Tongue

(A few folks will get this joke.)

Seriously though, Webb would be a good choice to add to the mix in camp. Might stick as a back-up. Definitely no worse than Kessler.

I think the Jags will not sign a big contract FA at QB. I think they'll draft one early and cull through affordable options for a stop-gap till the kid is ready.

Flacco, Mullens, Foles are all awful ideas. We don't really have the luxury to toss QB money at FAs and why would they want to come start for 4 games before a rookie takes over? Bortles can do the same thing if needed and really we should just be starting our rookie Day 1 anyways honestly

Sidenote for those interested in Foles:
He'll be starting vs a Jags division rival next week according to Pederson.
Good chance to see where he's at for those that consider him an option for the Jags.

I had read somewhere that Ryan Tannehill or Derek Carr might also be available.  Of all 4 the only one that I would possibly consider would be Flacco.  The only reason that I say that is because he does have some good experience at being a game manager.

Really I'm not that crazy about any of the potential free agents this upcoming off-season.  Perhaps there is a backup/practice squad player out there who might turn out to be a "steal".

FA QB this season are two fold. Either they are not as good as blake or they are too expensive to bring in. After what i saw from foles the other night. Carson wentz might be available.

Foles is on his way to Cousins money. Someone is going to pay him.

And that is going to be a huge mistake.

I don't know who we bring in as a 'veteran presence'...but we'd better not be rolling with Kessler.
