I really do think Hyde can be a good player.  Many of us liked him when he played for the Browns and the Niners. It's not fair to judge him behind this battered OL of scrubs, most of who won't be here next year.

If cutting Hyde is essential to getting Foles, I guess it makes sense. You have to make sacrifices somewhere. I'm more sensitive to cuts on defense---since it was the defense that brought us to the dance last year.

Hyde may very well be a good backup but he's not worth 5 million. That's my only issue with him. If that 5 million can help the Jags get a better RG or WR or QB, then I'm all for him being released.
