1.4 Million Households Drop Off Food Stamps Under Trump

More than 1.4 million households dropped off food stamps since President Donald Trump’s first full month in office in February 2017, according to U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) data on food stamp enrollment released Friday.

Excellent it's a hard thing to do for those families but they'll be much better off becoming self sufficient

Eligibility requirements haven't changed so this is just a symptom of low unemployment and improving wages.
Unemployment has been on a downward trend for about 6 years and that is when this trend of less food stamp use started as well.
"The downward trend in enrollment among both households and individuals throughout Trump’s time in office is on pace with the slow and steady decrease in SNAP participation since 2013."

So... you'd be happier with a more stringent eligibility requirement?

.... No.. you'd say, "it's ONLY because of a more stringent eligibility requirement."

....

that JUST is ridiculous. That's the whole positive point of the damn thread.

if unemployment rates have not changed, and only eligibility requirements had changed, yes I would point that out.
I would definitely give the President credit or blame if eligibility requirements changed.
I do not give him credit or blame for the unemployment rate changing.
