But I understand - you're delicate and easily shocked.

What did you call that once?  Oh, now I remember ...Whataboutism.  Evidentially you're not immune.

On Topic ... If he did stage the attack, he had nothing of real value to gain and everything to lose.  I don't understand the need to bring down the MAGA slogan to the point of risking your own credibility, your morals, most of all your future.

Stroud exhibited the whataboutism. Sorry. The board's chief Trumpette feigning shock - shock! - regarding someone lying was just too funny to let pass. Is it just me that finds such political hypocrisy so hilarious?

Risks? Donald Trump became President by spreading lies, so I'm sure another actor thought it would work out well also. Donald has set standards that we'll all have to deal with.

Lies to you are facts to most people. What lies did he spread? You are mentally diseased. You need help.

Hehehehe - didn't take you two minutes to come back to defend your boy. Particularly touchy today?

Oh, I don't know - Donald has told so, so many lies you'd be here for a week defending him. Two: he made his political name with The Big Lie: Obama's birth certificate. And - I particularly enjoy how Mexico is going to pay for the wall - and then watch people tie themselves into knots trying to insist he didn't really mean it that way. Although he said it about 500 times.

Mentally diseased? Getting sensitive aren't we. What do you call someone who spends hours every day on an anonymous message board defending an inveterate liar?

I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand how fixing trade imbalances translates to "Mexico paying for the wall".

One begins to wonder if this race-baiting, Trump-hating hoax was cooked up by Smollett himself, or did he have help from his famous race-baiting, Trump-hating friends?

Kamala Harris and Cory Booker were so eager to pounce on the incident, label it a modern-day lynching and try to push their anti-lynching legislation through Congress.  It's just a leeeetle too convenient.

Shame on the MSM for trying to oversell Michelle as a good looking woman. Barry could have done so much better.

If those two are the best you can do for "lies," then you've lost the argument.

First off, a lie is saying something one knows to be untrue. An example of an actual lie is Obama claiming "you will save $2500 a year" when he was told by one of the main authors of the ACA bill that it wasn't true. While the evidence is strongly in favor of Obama being born in the US, the birth certificate (produced years later) could very well be a forgery. And Trump could very well actually believe it is. Personally, I believe Obama was born in Hawaii, but the "proof" is weak enough that I wouldn't bet my life on it.

As far as Mexico paying for the wall, I don't think there was ever a statement that Mexico would write a check or send a pallet of cash (correct me if you have a link to a video showing he did). Your TDS-suffering sources have translated it that way, but any sane person would have known from the start that Mexico wouldn't directly provide the money for construction.

Good opinion piece in the New York Times.

"This case is an object lesson in what happens when people in positions of political and cultural authority abandon critical thinking and pressure those who don’t abandon their circumspection under pain of being smeared as bigots. It also exemplifies the tendency of those arbiters to amplify “perfect crimes” that advance their political agenda — and to ignore crimes that don’t."

FBI is investigating the threatening letter Smollett received on the set of Empire which contained white powder (aspirin). He reportedly was upset that the incident did not receive a lot more attention.

This whole story is just another in the growing list of liberals/democrats/progressives/socialists trying to put conservatives and President Trump into a "racist" group.  They know it's not true so they have to manufacture these "incidents" and immediately post it to social media since that's where much of the populace seems to get their "news" these days.

Just my opinion, but this loser Smollett should be charged with a "hate crime" among other things and put behind bars.

So no video, just some claim by a far left fact checker site known for lies and spin.

This is looking more and more like a Deep State operation.

Kamala Harris and Corey Booker immediately jump on Twitter to label the Jussie Smollett attack a "modern-day lynching". Turns out they know the fellow personally. Small World.
A week later, their anti-lynching legislation is passed in the Senate.
Smollett appears on ABC Good Morning to tearfully relate the story of his attack to a breathlessly accommodating Robin Roberts.
A week later, Disney/ABC casts Smollett's sister as superhero Black Canary in a DC movie. Small world.
