Nascar Heat Evolution

(This post was last modified: 10-10-2016, 04:07 AM by Teal Time Radio.)

I bought Nascar Heat Evolution about 10 days ago and sold it last night.   Unless ya big into multiplayer a waste of time.  First off it had the right elements, Nascar license, Sponsors, Great steering.  So while was expecting like Dirt to Daytona or Thunder cause from same makers.

It just feels too much like Nascar.  Which is supposed to be a good thing.  But in video games is far from it.  Now I wont complain about lack of tracks to start at.  Some have and why they did not like the game.   But opening up new tracks for me and not unlocked out of the gate is fun.

However. In career mode.  I get ya start out as a nobody and have to earn ya way for sponsors.  I get some difficultly and learning curve.  However to constantly lose cause ya car has no power.  To have no way to catch up cause see car has no power after crash.  Is so last generation.  In forza 6, nascar expansion ya had the x button to rewind and try again.  This is okay you crashed restart race or finish in last.

There is no point the first few seasons if play that long. To even want to qualify cause car has no power.  And even when ya buy upgrades that take forever to get.  It hardly makes a difference.  Ya can practice any course.  Which would be fun if had any options to tweak car (it doesn't)

So anything out side of ground level tracks don't matter how great of a racer you are.  You will lose and fight for bottom of the pack.  Daytona and Taladega know spelled wrong.  Won't stand a chance cause no options I have seen to tweak anything.

Which would of been fine with me. Had there been different series (none)  So would of made the seasons worth wild.

I mean far as races if you play a normal race or anything but career.  Ya have a good chance to win or be top 10.   And is very real life like in as get closer cars block you and is challenging but rewarding.  So if don't care to do career mode can be enjoyable to a die hard racing/nascar fan.

And the multiplayer while i didn't care to play but a few matches.  Cause not a fan of bumper cars.  And didnt level high enough to be in the pro matches.  From what i heard is a hit or miss depending on the race.

Over all the beyond extreme difficulty of career mode made me no longer want to look at the game and sell it.  But it is an enjoyable rental or bargain bin game down the line.   But for $60.00 can't see it being worth your wild.  Even for Nascar Racing game die hard players like me.

I may pick it up down the line and give an update.  But for now.  Not recommended and did look forward to this game a few months back.  And the you tube videos on it fooled me.
