Leonard Fournette Offseason Updates

#81

Im excited for a really big year from fournette with foles, a healthy oline and DeFilippo. I think he got a bit of a raw deal last year with the criticism about his attitude etc. He seems to be working really hard and think this will be a bounce back year.

As for his attitude to the jags fans and his support for the team let’s not forget https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7BYeBTRcyDM which I love to see and things like this and publicised enough which doesn’t help perfection on a player!

I remember seeing this. He made that kid's day. See it all over his face. Awesome moment man. That's why people lay into athletes when they do bonehead [BLEEP] off the field. Because we know kids are out there like this young man looking up to these athletes. These athletes are superheroes to us growing up as kids. Superhuman speed, strength and agility.

But... they're still human at the end of the day. I am ready to put all of this negative [BLEEP] behind us. Especially on my end personally. Trying to get out of that negative rut about these players. I hope he cracks 1500 on the ground this year and powers us into a play-off season again.

Good stuff.

Encouraging to here about his connection so far with Foles. Maybe it just wasn't publicized as much, but I never remember him being that close BB.

Also encouraging to here about how good Conley and Oliver have looked so far.

Wyoming, home of Chris Prosinski !!

Anytime you get a chance to work out with people like Prosinki, Jerry Rice, or Ray Lewis, you don't ask questions, you just hop on the 1st flight and go.

You can tell by the shape he is in. The best he has looked since drafted. All will be lost if he takes that hit or be hit attitude.

LF27 has shown his True Grit on and off the field to say the least. Even being suspended for taking up for his fellow team mate shows where his heart is at. The media, in an down year for the Jaguars will always exploit issues to be Treaterous.

Always.

LF27's 2018 injuries was an MAJOR factor in the fans decision to turn on him. We, the fans has an uncanny disposition to follow such shannigans. As we can see, he is on track for success until he's off track.

Time Will Tell.

Leonard Fournette isn't a character issue; he had two gaffes last season, but the guy is constantly giving back. He's just a kid.

That said, he has to stay on the field. He had some moments of superstardom in his rookie season and it was easy to see why we drafted him in spots. We've got to get the offense in gear this season.

In my opinion, Fournette is the most important player on the team for the Jags to have a great season. If he is able to consistently perform up to his ability level and not get injured (a big IF), this will make things much easier for Foles to have the success he had with the Eagles. Our receivers may not be great, but they are good enough to get open if defenses have to focus on Fournette.

I sense there may be games when our receivers are flat covered and getting shut down where the game is coming down to Fournette carrying the team. In those games we need this to happen, and we need the players to buy into the run. I feel this is the kind of team they're building, and with Nick at QB we have a chance to still hit on some passes with his uncanny accuracy. You guys are going to love how accurate of a passer he is compared to Bortles. Nick being on the team also gives the Jaguars that potential catch-up-from-behind ability that most hard-nosed running teams lack.

This is going to be a fascinating season with a running game that should be able to dominate those late-season up north when teams can't run tend to fall off. Knowing that if we can get steal that last wildcard and sneak into the Playoffs, we have a guy at the helm who's been there and done it before. As Ramsey said, Foles has nothing to prove. We already know he's our golden ticket.

How do you expect him to stay on the field when there are fist fights to engage in along the sidelines?
